Disney On Ice

My girlies finally got to do something they've be DYING to do...go see Disney on Ice. Everytime the commercial would come on they would ask when we could go and I would always reply with a vague "oh yeah...that would be fun". Never committing to it but not dashing their hopes either. So when my mother-in-law called and said she wanted to go I thought we should just do it! We had plans to have a girls night out with dinner at Serranos with Aunt Kim and Cindy and Courtney and Lexi, Granny Harris and me and the girls. At the last minute, poor Lexi started throwing up so plans quickly changed. Courtney and Lexi didn't come and they gave their ticket to Drey. Drey was SO excited...he loves theatre and artsy stuff. I always tell him real men aren't afraid of music and dance. We didn't have time to go to Serranos (by the time we figured out who to give the extra tickets to and went and picked up Drey..we were running late) so we went to Elmers instead. That place sure brings back some high school memories!

We had an awesome night. It was late for a school night but the kids LOVED it! Definitely well worth it!

A Proper Sendoff

We thought it only fitting to say goodbye to 2009 in the same style we lived it...full of laughter, chaos, family, fun, games, food, noise and craziness. The whole fam damily gathered at the folks house (minus the Richards) for some chicken fajitas and to spend the last hours of 2009 together.

We played some games....(can you tell whose winning)....

We ate an extraordinary amount of snacks. What's that? It's called self-control? Never heard of it.

We took pictures....

We played Rockband...loudly... and with no concern for singing in the correct key.

As the night wore on, we decided to recreate our senior high school photos. May I present the "head tilt"....

The "glance over the shades"...

The "wall hug"....

The "peace and love" pose...(no harm came to any of Juli's hair in the making of this photo)

The "leg on a chair"....

The "I'm just laying here looking cute" pose....

The "chin support"...

And finally...the "over the shoulder head toss"....

It was a great night and we were all able to ring in the new year with a kiss....

Wait..... What? Nothing.

Things got a little crazy at the end of the night. We were laughing so hard we're lucky nobody had an "accident" if you know what I mean. I came close. Laughing that hard after drinking a couple of liters of Diet Dr. Pepper is not a wise move. We welcome 2010...a new year and a new decade. I can only imagine what's in store for us this year!
