I LOVE my new camera!!!

I love having a new camera to play with! It's so fun!! Here are some random pix that we took.
Some of you may have noticed that Joey is looking HOTTER than usual. About 3 months ago, he decided that he was going to lose 25 pounds. I didn't really take him seriously because 1-I didn't think he needed to and 2-he has said that before but not done anything about it. So when he quit drinking Dr. Pepper...I was SHOCKED! I never thought I would see the day! Then he started dragging me out of bed at 5:30a.m. to go to the gym and workout with him. Not my favorite time of the day to exercise but I was trying to be supportive! Every day I hear this question "How many calories in this?" about 10 times! So here we are 3 months later and Joey has lost a whopping 20 POUNDS!! Five more to go! He's so dedicated! And lookin good... I'm in a position to know!!

One of the best things about having a functioning camera is being able to capture the random daily moments that are precious to me. I used to not bother to grab the camera because I knew there would be spots all over the picture or it would be blurry. But now I grab my camera constantly! Love It!! So, one of the MANY cute things my girlies do is after bathtime, at night, before they get their nightgowns on, they have to get their "blankies" and get under the covers and "snuggle up" with each other until they get warm. I love to see them cuddle with each other. It melts me.

Playing outside in the leaves! They were having so much fun!!

My brother and his wife came up from Tucson last weekend and spent Saturday just hanging out and letting the kids play. Delly LOVED her little cousin Joslin. She just wanted to hold her and love her up! It was so sweet...and unlike Delly! Usually she doesn't like any other babies getting all the attention!

Our Piano Prodigy

Tonight was all about DREY!!! He had his second piano recital tonight and he NAILED his song-the theme from Spongebob Squarepants. I was way more nervous that he was! He is SO talented at the piano! He started almost a year and a half ago and has learned and improved so quickly. He amazes me with his talent! He's tried soccer, baseball and karate but never really LOVED doing any of those things. So after awhile he stopped (I'm not gonna pay for something that he doesn't really like doing!) When he started piano, he LOVED it and I love hearing him play and watching him find his "thing". He's such a GREAT kiddo! Way to go tonight, Drey!!! You're awesome!
Drey and his WONDERFUL piano teacher...Lisa King.

Book Tag...

So Elise tagged me....I've actually never done a "tag" before so hopefully I do it right. This is a fun tag because it's a book tag and I LOVE reading. Theres nothing else that I would rather do than sit down in my comfy chair, with a yummy diet dr. pepper close by and read a great book. If it's raining outside and I have a warm blanket to read under...thats the best!!! Anyways, here are the rules:

1. Pick up the nearest book (one of at least 123 pages)
2. Open the page to 123
3. Find the 5th sentence.
4. Post the next 3 sentences
5. Tag 5 people.

I have a "to be read" pile of books on my bookshelf as well as a "recently read" pile. I chose from the recently read pile...I love this book! It is called Silent in the Grave by Deanna Raybourn.

I set the cup down with a crack. "You admit you deliberately gave me something-some sort of truthfulness potion-to get information?"
"Truthfulness potion? Really,my lady, your penchant for sensational novels is deplorable."

The second in the series...Silent in the Sanctuary... is equally wonderful. I have both books if anyone wants to borrow them! I tag Nikki, Drey, Kristi, Tia and Justin.

Happy Valentines Day!!!

So 15 years ago, today, Joey proposed to me at the Star Video in Thatcher, AZ. I said "No".....Long story, but I think it all worked out okay! After all, he eventually was able to convince me that he could never love anyone like he loves me and after two long weeks, I agreed to take the plunge with him! Don't let him tell the story...he exaggerates terribly! So on Valentines day we usually just write each other a love note and go to dinner...but this year Joey went all out and got me a new camera!!! I'm so excited to be able to take pictures again and not see spots all over!!! It's a Canon Elph ( which Joey tells me is a good one..I don't know) so now I'm a little nervous to have such a nice toy. We all know I can't be trusted with nice things! I did flush my cell phone down the toilet not too long ago, after all. It was an accident!!!.....anyways.....I LOVE the new camera!!!! I feel a little sheepish that all I got him was a love letter and a salad from Jack in the Box for lunch!! He's the greatest husband in the universe!! I love him!!!!! So I had to charge the battery for a few hours and when it finally was ready, little Miss Delly Button refused to cooperate and pose for me so I could try it out! Usually, she loves to be in front of the camera but today she was feeling rotten I guess. I snapped a couple, but theyre not really cute of her. Finally, the kids got home from school and I had some more cooperative subjects to practice on. I'm still getting the hang of it...it has a lot of bells and whistles...but I know I'll love it!!!! Thanks, baby!!!!

New Tile!!! Finally!

So I'm finally getting around to doing my "new tile"post! Joey is gone again (for the fourth weekend in a row!! ) and the kids are in bed and I'm bored...so I decided to finally post my tile pix. My camera is still messed up but I did get a few pictures to upload. As most of you know, I have lived with the UGLIEST white linoleum for many years. I hated it. No, I loathed it. No, those words don't do my feelings justice... I despised it with my whole soul! It was impossible to keep clean, even after mopping it looked bad. I was saving up for hardwood flooring but something would always come up and the floor money would have to be redirected. Finally, I said "no more linoleum" I'm done. I went to the tile shop ( because it's cheaper than hardwood) and bought it. The next day, my dad and brother-in-law Justin came over and installed it for us. Oh yeah- Joey helped, too. I have to give credit where credit is due. He didn't WANT to lay tile on his Saturday off....but he loves me immensely and knows how much I wanted it. So, I got my tile and I LOVE IT! I don't have to mop everyday! I feel free!

Even Gage helped! Thanks to all who were willing to work for Filibertos burritos and Pepsi!! The finished product is so gorgeous! I forgot to take "before pictures" of the bathrooms so you just have to picture ugly white linoleum in there instead of beautiful tile. I didn't take a picture of the front entryway and the pantry (I forgot) but those also have new tile as well! Yea!!! I love it!
Next, I'm going to refinish all the cabinets in a chocolate brown color. It's going to look gorgeous! If only I could get Joey to stay home one of these weekends!!!

GAGE AMMON

Gage didn't like my previous post...so I thought I would mention some things about Gage that are GREAT!! Gage's teachers have always told me how respectful and polite he is. Recently, his teacher called to tell me what a "pleasure" he was to have in class and that he was a leader to the other kids. He has NEVER been in trouble at school... not once! He is so responsible...I can trust him to babysit, change diapers, run into a store to buy me something while I wait in the car, the list goes on and on. I can't say enough good things about Gage. Anyone who knows him knows what I'm talking about. One thing that is really special about him is his testimony. Gage has tried to teach every single one of his non-member friends about the gospel. He has tried many times to give away a Book of Mormon. He is always told "no, thanks" but he keeps trying to set a good example. I think it's no accident that his middle name is Ammon. So for all these things and more, I will put up with a little barf in the vacuum cleaner! Love you Gage!
